How best to use your deferment time

You can use your deferment time in many different ways. For example, you can ensure you have the skills you need for university study by completing a STUDY LINK subject. These are short, self-paced online subjects which aim to fill knowledge gaps, increase skills and build confidence. There are 20 subjects across the areas of Science, Maths, Writing, Transition to University, Statistics and Technology. They can be accessed whilst you are deferred, and although they don’t provide credit, they are free for Commonwealth supported students. You may also wish to consider an overseas experience or doing work experience in your industry of interest to give you a head start in your chosen field. CSU Global is available to help you explore your options in this area.

Communicating with CSU

We’ll keep you informed about what's happening at CSU throughout your deferment period. You will receive reminders regarding key dates to ensure a smooth transition to your study. Don't forget you can contact us at any time.
